Phobias
"Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less."
- Marie Curie
What are Phobias?
Phobias are persistent and irrational fears of specific objects, situations, activities, or even people. They are characterized by an excessive and uncontrollable fear that can cause deep distress and panic when confronted with the source of the fear. Phobias can be categorized into three major types: specific phobias (such as fear of heights or spiders), social anxiety disorder (extreme worry about social situations), and agoraphobia (fear of places or situations that are difficult to escape from). Phobias can significantly impact a person's daily life, leading them to avoid certain triggers and potentially causing interference with work, school, and relationships
